About
Everybody’s everyday lives were turned upside down in a very short time. Interpersonal interactions are regulated in an unprecedented way, the grounding of culture is complete and the uncertainty is concerning.
We cannot see neither the full picture nor the magnitude of these events yet. Impacts and timeframes are not tangible. What is certain is that we are all affected by this, that this bothers us all. What does it mean for us as humans, artists, dancers, spectators?
Art and culture must look for new spaces - because social distancing has become the keyword of the hour.
The platform You Never Dance Alone is an attempt to establish an alternative place to stay connected through movement as well as with language despite isolation.
Our Online-Dance-Participation-Project invites you to face the current state of emergency dancing. Share your thoughts with us: by movement, choreography, spaces, sounds, or otherwise.
However, this is only the first stage of the You Never Dance Alone project. In the second phase, there will be a live-happening, where we will catch up on what is not possible at this critical moment. And we’ll do so full on! All participants will be invited to join... ‘cause: You Never Dance Alone.
